The Australian Human Rights Institute is a unique centre of knowledge in Australia and the world, for bringing together medical, engineering and legal minds to find human rights solutions. - AHRI vision. In three priority areas - business and human rights, health and human rights and gender justice - we produce research and policy outcomes for people in Australia and the Asia Pacific who are most in need of innovative responses. We work in partnership with government, industry, and human rights defenders in the community, so our research makes an impact in the real world. The Institute builds on the outstanding legacy of the Australian Human Rights Centre, which since its establishment in 1986, has increased public awareness and academic scholarship on human rights through research, public lectures and events, and publications. - AHRI Mission.
