Summary:
This brief work (237 pages) provides an overview of the principles of the law of intellectual property in all of its incarnations. It also provides a useful discussion of how each of the various categories of IP law work and of how they all work together. The stated aim of the authors is for the reader of the book to come away with 'a good idea of how it all works in practice'. For that reason there are few footnotes or case references in the text. That has the result that the book is very readable. Although the work concerns the English law, because its concern is the principles of IP law it is of universal application.
