Sir Harry Talbot Gibbs was a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland (1961-67), Federal Court Judge (1967-70), Justice of the High Court of Australia (1970-81) and Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia (1981-87).

Includes loose: handwritten poem [by Harry Gibbs]; letter to Harry [Wilson] from Harry Gibbs (signed Bill, as he was known to family and friends) dated 29 Jan 1945; undated newspaper cutting showing photograph of H G (Harry) Wilson after receiving the degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and the Eustace Russell Memorial Prize and the William Nathaniel Robertson Medal.
