Calendar of State Papers, Colonial Series, America and the West Indies is a historical compilation of British government records published as calendars [abstracts] between 1860 and 1969 on behalf of the Public Record Office (PRO). The series is published across 45 volumes, the first of which covers the period 1574-1660, plus addenda. Each volume contains summaries of original papers of the British administration in colonial North America and the West Indies, with the East Indies, China, Japan, and Persia also covered in five of the first ten volumes. Featured abstracts encompass a wide range of documents relating to the American and West Indian colonies between 1574 and 1739, including lists of people, places and events relevant to the period. - description of series.

Library holds all volumes of the America and West Indies titles from volume 1 (1574-1660) up to volume 28 (August 1714- December 1715). West Indies, with the East Indies, China, Japan, and Persia volumes are not held.
